All parts of the wildfire in Chongqing’s Banan district have been completely extinguished, with firefighters putting out the final flames in the southern area on Thursday.
Firefighters, armed police force members, professional rescue teams and helicopters were mobilized during these wildfires. Legions of volunteers and the whole city joined the cause.
Hundreds of local motorcyclists became a primary force, transporting supplies and firefighting equipment up the mountain.
Volunteers delivered supplies for firefighters and armed police force members.
An excavator dug a 100-meter-wide fire barrier.
Firefighters sprayed water to wet the land to prevent the fire from spreading.
