Cold wave sweeps most parts of China

According to a projection by the National Meteorological Center, a temperature drop of 10 Celsius degrees will be seen in many area and more than 30 cities will embrace a record-low daily highest air temperature of this winter.
Some 101 flights were canceled due to snowfall, leaving 5,000 passengers stranded at Xinjiang’s Urumqi International Airport on Tuesday. Highways in the region have also been affected.
