Some candidate COVID-19 vaccines could possibly begin clinical trials in April, a director of the National Health Commission (NHC) said Friday at a press briefing.

The NHC has set up a special vaccine research and development team, picked out the first batch of eight pharmaceutical institutions, established nine tasks to promote vaccine research and development along five technical routes.
