A full-scale prototype of the China-Russia wide-body aircraft CR929 was displayed for the first time at the 12th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition on Tuesday in Zhuhai, Guangdong province.

The full-scale prototype stood at 22-meters long, 6.5-meters high and 5.9-meters wide, and showed its three cabin layout. It exhibited CR929’s first-class cockpit concept design, advanced avionics device integrated design and a characteristic cockpit layout.

Equipped with two rows for first class, three rows for business class, four rows for economy class, the prototype cabin is comfortable and advanced to include a cutting edge and fashionable entertainment system, with Chinese and Russian elements featured in the interior.

The prototype display is an important part for the CR929 wide-body aircraft research. Jointly displayed by the China-Russia Commercial Aircraft International Corporation, the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China and the United Aircraft Corporation, the CR929 prototype display contributes to its continued marketing and has provided customers with a good experience.

On the condition of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination, the CR929 aircraft development project is a major strategic high-tech cooperation between the two countries. 

At present, the project is in its preliminary design phase, and related work has been comprehensively carried out and steadily moved forward.
