The number of coronavirus cases imported from abroad over a single day dropped below 10 for the first time during the past month, said Mi Feng, spokesman for the National Health Commission,  at a news conference on Saturday.

However, local clusters caused by foreign imports in some provinces continued to increase, Mi said.

Mi also warned that the closed-loop management of “screening, diagnosis, reporting and isolation” is supposed to be a clear priority at all times to prevent the introduction of the virus into communities.
