Deng Li promoted to vice minister of foreign affairs

Deng Li, former ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey, has been promoted to vice minister of foreign affairs, according to the official website of China’s Foreign Ministry.

The profile page of Deng said that senior diplomat is now in charge of foreign affairs in West Asia, North Africa, Africa, and Europe. His duties also include managing consular affairs and archives.
