After days of a standoff between rioters and the police, most who occupied the campus of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University have left. But the school campus suffered from massive destruction.

A coffee shop inside the campus was vandalized. A slogan painted by rioters on the wall says “Eat Maxims’ products, no conscience.” Wu Shuqing, founder of Maxims, has voiced her support for the HK government’s handling of the protests during her address at the United Nations in September.
