Heavy rains hit the city of Nanchang, capital of eastern China's Jiangxi Province, on July 13, 2019, causing severe waterlogging and flooding many roads.

Downpours are likely to continue in the coming week, especially in Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, and Hunan provinces and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The water level of the Yangtze river in Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province broke through the 25-meter fortification level. The municipal administration launched an emergency response on July 12, 2019.
