People in Hangzhou, the capital city of East China's Zhejiang Province, will be required to take nucleic acid tests every 72 hours instead of 7 days starting Monday, due to the COVID-19 situation, officials said Sunday.
The above requirements apply to Shangcheng, Gongshu, Xihu, Binjiang, Xiaoshan, Yuhang, Linping and Qiantang districts and the West Lake scenic area in Hangzhou, the city government said in a notice.
Public places will require people to scan health codes to enter. Residents are required to produce negative test results taken within 72 hours to enter any public place or take public transportation starting Wednesday, read the notice.
Tourists should take a free nucleic acid test within 24 hours after arrival in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou recorded one confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Sunday, said the municipal health commission.
