Chinese President Xi Jinping greeted leaders who came to attend the session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit Sunday morning in east China's coastal city of Qingdao. 

Xi also gave opening remarks at the small-scale talks of the SCO. He stressed the importance of cooperation on development and security, and welcomed the participation of India and Pakistan as they were accepted as full members in June 2017.
