The construction of the Beijing Vaccine Testing Center, the first of its kind in China, began recently and will be completed by April 2024.

The Beijing Institute of Drug Inspection is responsible for the new project. The center will comprise five laboratories and supporting facilities for vaccine testing. The center will be able to test vaccines in production as well as vaccines available on the market, thus supporting the whole vaccine lifecycle from research and development to production.

As a major project to strengthen the city's vaccine supervision efforts, the testing center will play an essential role in ensuring vaccine safety and promoting the high-quality development of the city's biomedical industry.
