Shanghai issued a stamp to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the First Constitution of the Communist Party of China on Saturday.

The first edition of the Party Constitution was formulated at the Second National Congress of the CPC, which was held in Shanghai from July 16 to 23, 1922.

The stamp features the Party emblem, selected chapters of the first Party Constitution, the site of the Second National Congress of the CPC, and the background depicting a Party flag.

According to Shanghai vice mayor Zhang Wei, the stamp serves as a reminder of the obstacles the Party has gone through over the past century, and the need for Party members to abide by the constitution and contribute to the future of the nation.
