A truck Thursday was speeding out of control and crashed into a ramp along Kun-Mo highway in Yuxi, southwestern China’s Yunnan Province, and was saved by a protection net off the cliff, leaving the driver and the passenger only slightly injured.

The protection net set up in 2015 has saved at least five people from the downhill path “slope of death”.
