As of Wednesday, the airline recorded a 71 percent year-on-year increase of electronic check-ins in 100 days since it started comprehensive electronic check-ins for all domestic flights on Jan. 1.

The intelligent travel with mobile electronic devices makes passengers more flexible and efficient in their flight journey, as well as upgrading service efficiency, China Southern said.

According to China Southern, air passengers prefer to make online seat selection and get e-board passes through the airline's official app, airport self-check-in equipment and WeChat apps.

China Southern, based in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, has a fleet of 840 aircraft, the largest in Asia and the third biggest worldwide. In 2018, it provided air services to 139 million passengers.
