The nomination process for the election of the chief executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) will start from Sunday as scheduled, Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced on Saturday.

The nomination filing period is expected to last until April 16. Voting will begin on May 8.
