Chinese mainland reports 195 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 101 locally transmitted

The Chinese mainland reported 195 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, including 101 domestically transmitted and 94 imported, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Sunday.

Of the new local cases, 65 were reported in Inner Mongolia, 16 in Jiangsu, nine in Liaoning, eight in Guangdong and three in Yunnan, the commission said.

Among the imported cases, 32 were reported in Guangdong, 23 in Shanghai, 13 in Jiangsu, six in Beijing, four in Fujian, three each in Zhejiang, Shandong and Gansu, two each in Guangxi and Sichuan, and one each in Tianjin, Liaoning and Hubei.

There were 1,622 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Saturday, with seven in critical conditions. No deaths related to the disease were reported. Saturday also saw 55 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission added.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 107,707, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
