Giant panda Ya Ya returned to its home in Beijing Zoo early on Monday after spending 20 years in the United States.
On April 4, giant panda Ya Ya arrived in Shanghai from the Memphis Zoo of Tennessee. The panda was then quarantined before moving to Beijing.
The Beijing Zoo told the eastday.com that her health condition was stable during the quarantine in Shanghai. It will depend on her health check results whether and when Ya Ya will be shown to the public, the zoo was quoted as saying.

Born at the Beijing Zoo, Ya Ya was taken to the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee in 2003 for a joint research and conservation project, according to the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.
In 2006, Ya Ya began to shed her fur, a condition that worsened in 2014. Experts at the Memphis Zoo and in China tried various treatments but were unable to solve the problem, the Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens said.
