Chinese mainland reports 10 new local COVID-19 cases, 25 asymptomatic infections

The Chinese mainland reported 31 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, including ten domestically transmitted and 21 imported, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Wednesday.

The Chinese mainland also reported 95 asymptomatic infections, including 12 locally transmitted and 83 imported on Tuesday, the National Health Commission said.

There were 762 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Tuesday, with six in critical condition.

Tuesday also saw 78 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission said.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 225,349 and the death toll stood at 5,226.
