The Chinese mainland reported 48 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, including 13 domestically transmitted and 35 imported, data from the National Health Commission showed on Thursday.
The Chinese mainland also reported 87 asymptomatic infections on Wednesday, including 18 locally transmitted and 69 imported, the National Health Commission said.
There were 717 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Wednesday, with four critical condition.
Wednesday also saw 93 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission added.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 219,454 and the death toll stood at 5,226.
