Chinese mainland reports 12 new local COVID-19 cases, 151 asymptomatic infections

The Chinese mainland reported 37 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, including 12 domestically transmitted and 25 imported, data from the National Health Commission showed on Friday.

The Chinese mainland also reported 208 asymptomatic infections on Thursday, including 151 locally transmitted and 57 imported, the National Health Commission said.

There were 426 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Thursday, with none in critical condition.

Thursday also saw 43 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission added.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 225,675 and the death toll stood at 5,226.
