China to provide vaccine assistance to Iraq, other Arab countries

Zhai Jun, Chinese special envoy on Middle East affairs, said in an interview on Friday in Beijing, that China-aided COVID-19 vaccines have arrived in Egypt, Algeria and other Arab League countries.

This was the first batch of vaccine assistance provided by China to countries and organizations in West Asia and North Africa region.

"In the next step, China will also provide vaccine assistance to Iraq, Palestine, Syria and other countries in the region, making its contribution to helping these countries win the final victory in the fight against the epidemic." Zhai said.
