"We have explored a bright path of good-neighborliness and win-win cooperation, taken strides toward building a closer community with a shared future and made important contribution to the cause of human progress," Xi noted.
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has promoted high-quality development with the goal of "high standards, sustainability, and people's livelihood," and has reached solid and tactful achievements.
With joint efforts, a large number of major projects and cooperation projects have been advanced. The interconnection structure of "six corridors and six roads with multiple countries and ports" has been formed. From 2013 to 2021, annual trade between my country and the countries along the "Belt and Road" will be expanding from $1.04 trillion to $1.8 trillion.
Facing the global pandemic and the changing international situation, the joint construction of the BRI steadily promotes international cooperation, actively cultivates new growth engines such as health, green, digital, and innovation. BRI provides strong momentum for the global fight against the epidemic, safeguarding people's livelihood, and economic recovery – a magnificent chapter in building a community with a shared future for mankind.
