The Chinese mainland reported 148 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, including 98 domestically transmitted and 50 imported, data from the National Health Commission showed on Tuesday.
The Chinese mainland also reported 828 asymptomatic infections on Monday, including 770 locally transmitted and 58 imported, the National Health Commission said.
There were 1,806 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Monday, with 22 in critical condition.
Monday also saw 118 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission added.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 228,946 and the death toll stood at 5,226.
