Chinese mainland reports 24 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported 24 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, eight locally transmitted and 16 imported, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Four locally transmitted cases were detected in Heilongjiang, two in Liaoning, one each in Hebei and Beijing. Six new imported cases were reported in Shanghai, two each in Fujian, Guangdong, Shaanxi and one each in Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, and Liaoning, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

A total of 4,024 imported cases had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 395 remained hospitalized, including nine in severe conditions, the commission said.
