Since the start of December, Chinese postal and courier services have witnessed a new peak season. However, slow deliveries in some regions persist as backlogs have yet to be fully addressed and courier companies are to some extent understaffed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Facing growing demand, the State Post Bureau has taken multiple measures, including personnel deployment, extending delivery time and avoiding unloading and transit congestion, to ensure operations are smooth.
