China's law against foreign sanctions to provide more legal environment

The newly adopted Countering Sanctions Law will provide a foreseeable legal and stable environment of business for foreign companies in China, a spokesperson said on Friday.

China's national legislature on Thursday adopted the "Law of the PRC on Countering Foreign Sanctions", regarded as a harbinger of the country to explore legal avenues to fight sanctions from the west.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin denied the concerns about foreign companies' development in China after implementing the law, ensuring that China will always welcome and support those companies which conduct business and cooperation in China.

"China’s opening up will only be opened even wider," Wang stressed. "China will continue to create a better business environment for foreign companies and share China's development opportunities with the world."
