The talks between a Chinese vice foreign minister and a visiting high-level US delegation were candid, in-depth and constructive, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a regular press briefing on Monday.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng talked to Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink and Senior Director for China Affairs of the White House National Security Council, Laura Rosenberger, in Langfang, North China's Hebei Province from Sunday to Monday.

Wang said that the two sides had in-depth communication on implementing the consensus reached at the Bali Summit between the two heads of state, advancing consultations on guiding principles for bilateral relations, properly handling important and sensitive issues, strengthening exchanges at all levels and carrying out cooperation in relevant fields.

“The two sides agreed that the talks were candid, in-depth, constructive and agreed to maintain communication," Wang said.
