Chinese mainland reports 46 new local COVID-19 cases, 327 local asymptomatic infections

The Chinese mainland reported 107 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, including 46 domestically transmitted and 61 imported, data from the National Health Commission showed on Tuesday.

The Chinese mainland also reported 391 asymptomatic infections on Monday, including 327 locally transmitted and 64 imported, the National Health Commission said.

There were 1,594 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Monday, with two in critical condition.

Monday also saw 191 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission added.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 229,701 and the death toll stood at 5,226.
