A newly appointed headmaster, also the deputy party chief of Huantai No.1 middle school in East China's Shandong province, was suspended on Friday for administrative errors, according to local authorities.

Reports said Gao Daquan, who took over the job in September, forced teachers to finish teaching all high school courses in the first year and compelled all boarding students to attend class every morning at 5.

The school's unreasonable catering service also raised complaints from teachers, students and parents.

The Education and Sports Bureau of Huantai County has ordered the school to cancel all inappropriate measures immediately and to improve the quality of school meals.
