The Chinese mainland reported 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, including one domestically transmitted and 26 imported, the National Health Commission said Monday.

Among the imported cases, seven were reported in Yunnan, four in Guangdong, three each in Shandong and Shanghai, two each in Heilongjiang and Hunan, and one in Beijing, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Zhejiang and Guangxi respectively, the commission said in its daily report.

The new local case was reported in Heilongjiang the commission said.

There were 857 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Sunday, four of whom were in severe conditions. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 38 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 96,258, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
