Russian President Vladimir Putin rarely undertakes multi-day international visits, and even domestic inspections seldom last for several days, yet this visit to China which lasts nearly four days indicates that Putin indeed feels at home in China, said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov on Sunday, CCTV reported.

According to CCTV, Peskov said that Putin's current visit to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin and the commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War will not only deepen bilateral cooperation across various fields but also demonstrate that, as two countries that made decisive contributions to the defeat of fascism, Russia and China are jointly safeguarding historical memory.

Peskov said that overall, the interactions between the leaders of the two countries are very frequent, and they refer to each other as "dear friends." He believes that maintaining such a constructive and warm friendly relationship allows for broad discussions on bilateral relations. According to Peskov, in every meeting, both sides discuss various issues currently facing them and coordinate their positions. China-Russia cooperation encompasses all areas related to the economy, which they are very satisfied with and are willing to further deepen. The leaders of the two countries also discuss cooperation in all other fields, whether it is cultural cooperation, or cooperation in education and medicine, Peskov said, according to CCTV.

According to CCTV, Peskov said that the two countries made decisive contributions to the defeat of fascism, and both nations remember history and hope to pass this history on to future generations. Peskov said they highly appreciate China's valuing of history.
