Traffic accident in north China's Shanxi leaves 5 dead

TAIYUAN, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed in a collision between two vehicles near Zhanglan Town in Jiexiu City, north China's Shanxi Province, at around 4 a.m. on Sunday, local authorities said.
One driver, whose blood alcohol concentration tested at 159 mg per 100 ml, exceeding the legal limit, has been detained. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
