BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Sun Shaocheng, vice director of the Social Development Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, is under disciplinary and supervisory investigation, an official statement said Thursday.

Sun is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision (NCS) for suspected severe violations of disciplines and laws, the CCDI and NCS statement said.
