Amid the distinctive British rainy weather, the Global Times reporters caught up with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who is visiting Shanghai, at around 4:30 pm on Friday in Shanghai's iconic scenic spot, the Yuyuan Garden.

The Global Times noticed that Starmer was accompanied by a sizable entourage. The Yuyuan Garden was not entirely closed to the public that day, and some tourists could still be seen in the video footage recorded by the reporters.

Starmer also walked across the Zigzag Bridge in Yuyuan Garden, the video footage showed.

Currently, the Yuyuan Garden is adorned with many Spring Festival-themed decorations, and its lantern festival officially lit up on Monday, the Global Times previously reported.

Starmer arrived in Shanghai on Friday's afternoon to continue his trip to China, Xinhua News Agency reported. Shanghai is the second stop of Starmer's visit to China, the report said.
