US law enforcement agencies have repeatedly subjected Chinese enterprise personnel to prolonged and unjustified interrogations, detentions, and deportations. These actions are harsh and unreasonable, and infringe upon the legitimate rights of Chinese citizens.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian made the remarks during a regular press conference in response to a question about the recent incidents. He stated that, moreover, they have seriously undermined normal business cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries. This is in stark contrast to the consensus reached by the two heads of state during their meeting in Busan, where they emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in the economic and trade sectors.

"China strongly opposes these actions," Lin said. He urged the US to take China's concerns seriously and immediately cease these wrongful practices. He also called on the US to stop unjustly interrogating Chinese enterprise personnel and to implement the important consensus reached between the two heads of state to safeguard the normal, friendly exchanges between the two peoples.

"China will continue to take resolute and strong measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its citizens," Lin concluded.
