HARBIN, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed in a fire at a nursing home in Qiqihar City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Monday, local authorities said Tuesday.

The fire, which broke out on Monday at about 3 p.m., has been put out. Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
