Fluid flips, dynamic dance moves, and highly synchronized human-robot interaction...the massive buzz and viral sensation sparked by humanoid robots at the Spring Festival Gala held by China Media Group (CMG), the world's most-watched TV show in celebration of the Chinese New Year, continues to grow.

A global survey launched by CGTN shows that 94 percent of respondents regard the CMG Spring Festival Gala as a key platform showcasing China's scientific and technological innovations, with humanoid robots epitomizing the rapid advancement of China's new quality productive forces.

"Yes, this is China!" An Algerian netizen called the humanoid robots' performance "incredible."

The commenter added:"At first, I couldn't believe they were robots – their speed, flawless execution, and especially their coordination with each other were amazing. Best of all, zero mistakes!"

The survey finds that 88.8 percent of respondents believe China's robotics industry has made the leap from bots that are mere "mechanical shells" to embodied intelligence.

A Tunisian netizen described it as "a vibrant and delightful artistic feast," a view shared by 86.5 percent of respondents, who agree that the organic collaboration between human creativity and artificial intelligence has delivered a brand-new aesthetic experience.

Shifting from "being watched" to "active engagement," and from "simple movement" to "practical application," humanoid robots on the gala stage have evolved from "exhibits" to "partners."

According to the poll, 90.4 percent of respondents agree that humanoid robots represent the strength of China's scientific and technological innovation, showcasing both China's cultural charm and technological prowess.

The accelerated evolution of humanoid robots on the Spring Festival Gala stage has shown the world just how far China's robotics and embodied intelligence industries have come, boosting confidence in the future of China's tech innovation.

From DeepSeek to drone services and intelligent interaction, 88.2 percent of respondents believe China is at the forefront of transitioning artificial intelligence from algorithms to physical AI.

In 2025, China produced 773,000 industrial robots, a year-on-year increase of 28 percent, hitting a new record high.

Embodied intelligence was flagged as a future industry in the draft 15th Five-Year Plan, a blueprint formulated late last year that will guide the country's economic and social development until the year 2030.

"Robots and artificial intelligence will become a major driving force for enhancing China's scientific and technological strength." – This view is endorsed by 87.9 percent of respondents, who look forward to further leaps in China's technological capabilities.

In addition, 93.6 percent of respondents agreed that China's scientific and technological innovation has boosted global technological and industrial smart manufacturing – defined as the integration of advanced, digitally connected technologies into production systems – thereby contributing to global innovation. Meanwhile, 93.3 percent expressed hope that their own countries will further strengthen scientific and technological cooperation with China.

The poll was released across CGTN's English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian platforms, attracting 13,514 participants who shared their views within 40 hours.
