After the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, a summary meeting for the Chinese delegation was held in Beijing on Saturday. Gao Zhidan, director of the General Administration of Sport of China, summarized the Games and praised the performances of the Chinese athletes after 17 days of competition.
China sent 126 athletes to Milano Cortina Olympics, competing across 7 sports and 91 events. The delegation concluded the Games with its best result at an overseas Winter Olympics, winning five gold, four silver and six bronze medals, surpassing the previous record set at Vancouver 2010.
Standout moments came in snowboarding, freestyle skiing and speed skating, as Su Yiming, Xu Mengtao, Wang Xindi, Gu Ailing and Ning Zhongyan were the five gold medalists for China at this edition.
