A US P-8A anti-submarine patrol aircraft transited the Taiwan Straits on Wednesday. The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) organized naval and air forces to conduct tracking, monitoring and alert operations throughout the process, and effectively handled the situation, a source told the Global Times on Wednesday.
