China calls on all parties to immediately halt military operations, prevent further escalation of tensions, and avoid greater disruptions to the global economy caused by regional instability, foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday at a regular press conference when asked about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
