China and Pakistan will strengthen strategic communication and make new efforts to promote peace, end conflict and safeguard regional stability, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a routine press conference when asked about Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar's third visit to China in three months. Dar is scheduled to arrive in China on Tuesday.
As all-weather strategic cooperative partners with mutual trust and support, the two countries share similar positions on major international and regional issues and maintain close communication with each other, said Mao.
"We believe that the foreign ministers of the two countries will strengthen strategic communication and coordination on international and regional issues of common concern, including the situation in Iran, and jointly advocate for peace and justice," Mao said.
