Ahead of International Labor Day on May 1, Yucai School in Zhaoqing, South China's Guangdong Province, organized a field classroom on April 15 to teach students labor skills and foster an appreciation for labor.

Hundreds of students from Zhaoqing High-tech Zone's Yucai School worked at the school's labor practice base, watering plants, tending soil and harvesting vegetables.

From planting seeds to harvesting crops, students experienced the full farming cycle. Through hands-on work, they gained respect for hard work and learned the origins of food.

The year-round garden grows seasonal vegetables, fruits and grains, serving as a key platform for experiential education beyond classroom theory.
