China firmly opposes and strongly condemns Japan's latest negative moves related to the Yasukuni Shrine, China's foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the Ministry of foreign Affairs, made the remarks during a regular press briefing in Beijing after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi sent a ritual offering to the notorious Yasukuni Shrine on Tuesday and made a monetary offering to the shrine on Wednesday.

Yasukuni Shrine, located in central Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward, honors 14 convicted Class-A Japanese war criminals from World War II. It is a symbol of Japanese militarism and wartime aggression and has long been a source of diplomatic friction between Japan and its neighbors.

Japan's negative actions concerning the Yasukuni Shrine constitutes "a blatant provocation against international justice" and "grossly trample on human conscience," Guo said.
China is very indignant at these heinous acts and strongly condemns them, he added.
