A married couple who are both nurses revived a drowning woman on a beach in South China's Hainan Province on Sunday after she was pulled from the sea unconscious and showing no pulse or breathing.

Jiang Zhiwen and his wife Yuan Yuan, from Zhejiang Province born in the 1990s, rushed to perform CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation after bystanders brought the woman ashore. She was reported to be in her 30s and foaming at the mouth when they began treatment.

After several minutes of resuscitation, her pulse and breathing returned, according to the couple.

She was later taken to a local hospital for further treatment, according to reports.
