The May 5 Shopping Festival has officially kicked off in Shanghai, China. The event will run through the end of June.
This is the festival's seventh edition, and features five major areas, including a combination of culture, exhibitions, tourism, sporting activities, debut economy, as well as bulk consumption. All 16 districts across the city will simultaneously launch special events to help boost consumer spending.
The May 5 Shopping Festival is a large-scale consumption promotion campaign organized by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government since 2020. It aims to stimulate market vitality through both online and offline businesses.
