Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian made the remarks at a regular press conference in Beijing on Thursday in response to a query regarding the French National Assembly's approval of a draft law aimed at simplifying procedures for the return of cultural relics illegally acquired from other countries.
Lin said China appreciates France's sense of responsibility in promoting the return of lost cultural relics to their countries of origin and looks forward to the early completion of the legislative process of the bill.
China stands ready to continue working with France and other relevant parties through dialogue and cooperation to advance the protection and return of lost cultural relics, Lin added.
