Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the remarks at a regular press conference in Beijing as Trump will kick off his state visit to China from May 13 to 15.
During the visit, the two heads of state will have in-depth exchanges on major issues concerning China-US relations as well as world peace and development, Guo said.
"China is willing to work with the US to expand cooperation, manage differences in the spirit of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, and to inject greater stability and certainty into a turbulent and changing world," said the spokesperson.
