China has decided to extend its visa-free policy for Russian citizens until December 31, 2027, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said during a routine press conference in Beijing on Wednesday.
The policy allows Russian citizens holding ordinary passports to enter China visa-free for business, tourism, visits to relatives and friends or exchange visits and transit for no more than 30 days.
"Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Russia relations have maintained a high level of operation," Guo said. "China is willing to work with Russia to further facilitate people-to-people exchanges, injecting more impetus into the development of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era."
