PARIS, May 27 (Xinhua) -- China's Wang Xinyu was eliminated in the second round of the French Open on Wednesday after a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 defeat to Germany's Tamara Korpatsch.

The 32nd-seeded Wang struggled early before responding strongly in the second set, where she won five consecutive games to level the match.
Korpatsch regained control in the deciding set, breaking Wang in the eighth game before serving out the match to advance.
Wang committed 65 unforced errors in the three-set contest, with the high error count proving costly in key moments.
The match also featured a tense exchange late in the first set following a disputed line call. Wang received a code violation after crossing to the other side of the court to argue with Korpatsch over a ball mark.
The two players did not shake hands after the match, prompting discussion on social media.
"I was standing there. I never said I didn't want to shake hands with her," Wang said afterward. "I just told her that I disagreed with the way she pointed out the ball mark. She said she didn't want to shake hands with me."
"Today, she did a very good job changing the pace," Wang added. "Whenever I tried to hit harder or put pressure on her, she responded with heavy topspin shots that forced me to build the point again. She managed the pressure well at the right moments and used long rallies to move me around and play to her strengths."
Following Wang's defeat, Wang Xiyu is now the only Chinese player remaining in the women's singles draw at Roland Garros.
