BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) - Wang Yihua, former chief accountant of the China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., a major power company, has been placed under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and laws.

The case of Wang, also a former member of the company's leading Party members group, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to a statement released on Saturday.
